Connection:
Body Meditation
This practice is foundational for all somatic work. To access body wisdom, intuition and heal trauma and conditioning, you must first connect to your body at the level of sensation. When you can identify and relate to difficult emotions as sensations, you learn the language of the body, and gain an access point no book or therapy can provide. It is a simple practice, but don’t underestimate its importance.
Benefits of Body Meditation:
• Heighten sensitivity in your sexual center
• Feel more in your body
• Get out of your mind!
• Listen to your body truth and intuition
Helpful tips:
• Make sure you are lying down in a comfortable position
• Pay attention to sensations; a sensation is cool/warm, dry/wet, mobile/still, contracting/expanding, numb, tingling, tight etc., rather than an emotion or a thought
• Speak the sensations out loud, keep scanning the body until a new sensation arises and speak that out loud. Doing that integrates left and right brain
• If you have a strong emotion or thought pattern, you can speak that, but keep returning to sensations.
• If you feel “nothing” then keep scanning for sensations – they are there, and you will feel them once you become sensitive enough with practice. Keep in mind that numbness is a sensation too.

Basic Breast Massage
This simple practice is a beautiful introduction into body love. The society has created so much confusion around our breasts, from objectification to rejection, to shaming and everything in between, that it is no wonder that many women have a complicated, and often not positive relationship with their breasts. When you massage your breasts, you release oxytocin, the love hormone, which helps to start shifting the relationship to your own body.
Benefits of Basic Breast Massage:
• Balances your hormones and increases oxytocin – resulting in a greater sense of self-love and pleasure.
• Opens your heart and melts away pain and shut-down in your ability to love
• Increases your sensual sensitivity.
Helpful tips:
• Use a skin-friendly oil (coconut, jojoba, sesame, almond, etc…) and massage on your bare skin. You can do it through your clothes, but the direct touch is more powerful
• Touch your breasts how you would want your lover to touch you – bring sensitivity, awareness, and love to your breasts with your hands.
• You can add your breath: as you inhale lightly squeeze your pelvic floor and butt, as you exhale relax your pelvic floor and butt as you massage the breasts.
• Massage first: Down on the outside, Up on the inside (this cleanses and purifies)
• Massage last: Up on the outside, Down on the inside (this builds and increases energy – only do this if you have healthy breast tissue)
• If you’ve had a mastectomy – do the breast massage energetically by imagining energy flow – keep working with this area as a place of love and move the energy through your chest area to keep it healthy.

Helpful tips:

• Visualize whatever you want to bring to your sexual center: Examples: health, sexiness, confidence, excitement, love, passion
• Using triangle position with the hands to direct your awareness may be helpful – connect the thumbs at the navel, where the index fingers connect is about the center of the uterus, where the pinkies fall naturally is about over the ovaries
• Can still be done even if some or all of your sexual organs have been removed – work with the energy of the organs, visualizing them even if they have been removed.

Heart Awakening and Total Love Practice
This is a powerful practice, which helps you dive deeply into your heart space and into the truth of love. It helps you understand what kind of tools you can use to invite you into deeper, somatic, limbic, and mental experience of love.
Benefits of Heart Awakening and Total Love Practice
• Opens your heart and gives you access to self-love and universal love
• Helps you create safety in your body, which is a foundation for healing
• You can start integrating deep layers of heartbreak, blockages, trauma, pain, and anything else that is holding you back
• You learn that you can connect and express feelings in your heart while being safe and staying soft
• You learn to soothe and regulate your nervous system to experience love as baseline
Helpful tips:
• Set up minimal ritual space to signal to the body that it is time to drop in, its the time for you.
• Use music as it enhances the experience.
• Breath work is the most powerful tool to get you into the body, out of cortical overthinking control and into the rich sense of emotion and felt sense. It pulls you into primal and limbic reality and into the deeper reality of who you are. To experience deep transformation, you need to get deep into the nervous system and out of the part of your mind that always is trying to control, judge and analyze so you can do work with you being.
• Go slow with breathwork, stop at any time, listen to your body. Primal and somatic will wake up and become stronger. It means that the body may shake, you may experience tightness, twitching, tingling. You may also feel more in the limbic layers, unfelt emotions which have not been met before may arise.
• Breathwork allows you to access what wants to be felt and has not been felt but wants to be accepted and loved. So, approach this from “Ah. This piece wants to be loved and felt”, it is looking for loving presence
• No breathwork if you have epilepsy, seizures, uncontrolled asthma, cardiovascular issues or are currently pregnant. Do deep meditation instead.
