Experience the healing potential of somatic practices.
Breathwork, movement, sound, and presence to unlock the healing power of your own body.
You will receive a short lecture, and be guided through specific body based practices, so you can finally break though cycles of chronic stress and disconnection.
Learn small routines that will, over time, transform into powerful rituals. They will free you of the unhealthy influence of relentless pressure of caring for others who are not well, without adequate recovery.
What To Expect
This workshop is designed to help you stop “managing” stress.
We look at the stress through a lens or the nervous system, and the survival responses of fight, flight, or freeze initiated by the primal brain in reaction to the stressors.
We discuss the biological imperative to complete the stress cycles and cultural barriers to do that, learned usually in early childhood and reinforced in adulthood.
You will learn how to complete the cycles depending on which is activated, in a way that it returns your body predictably to the ventral vagal state of rest and digest, and effectively to safety, thus regulating your nervous system. You will finally be able to relax, heal, and think straight without having to go on vacation, or taking some other drastic measures.
You will learn body based techniques and practice them, so this is not just an intellectual concept, but lived in experience that you can practice, and teach others. Coworkers, friends, and family, so we all function better as a community.
This workshop is geared towards highlighting the interconnectivity between stress response, emotions, behavior and impact on physical health. We don't suffer from mental health issues, but rather from chronically dysregulated nervous systems.
You will finally learn how to consistently regulate and stop relying on stress “management”. You don’t want to manage stress. You want it out of your body!
This class is based on combining the principles of Chinese medicine, and somatic experiencing.
You will learn how to meet yourself with full acceptance, honoring every aspect of you. Create radical safety necessary for the body to reset, and for you to feel more powerful, resilient and in flow.
